Estonia condemns the terrorist attacks in Tunisia, France and Kuwait

Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus said today that Estonia condemns the terrorist attacks perpetrated in France, in the tourist area of the Tunisian city of Sousse, and in Kuwait. The Foreign Minister expresses her deepest condolences to the relatives of the people who lost their lives.

“Attacks against innocent people shows that the barbarity of radical Islamic extremism knows no bounds,” Pentus-Rosimannus said and added that the cooperation of the international community is vitally important in preventing the spread of terrorism.

Today, on 26 June, terrorist attacks took place in two hotels in the tourist area of Sousse in Tunisia, as a result of which initial reports say more than 20 people were killed. Most of those killed were tourists from foreign countries. Terrorist attacks claiming human lives were also committed in France and Kuwait today.
