The Foreign Ministry has made contact with all Estonian citizens currently known to be in Nepal

The Foreign Ministry has now been in touch with all the Estonian citizens currently known to be staying in Nepal. The Foreign Ministry made contact today with the four Estonians, who they had up until today not yet managed to get in touch with. “We have received confirmation that they are okay and were staying in a village where there was no electricity and therefore were not able to get in touch,” the Foreign minister said, adding that the Foreign Ministry has passed on the good news to their loved ones.

The Estonian Honorary Consul of Nepal and the Foreign Ministry diplomat on site are currently focusing on getting all the Estonian citizens home safely. “Currently the most important thing is to get all the Estonian citizens to Kathmandu so they can travel on to Estonia,” the Foreign Minister said.
