Foreign Minister Pentus-Rosimannus is discussing the situation in Africa and EU Eastern Partnership with EU foreign ministers today


Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus is participating in the European Union Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels today. The European Union’s foreign ministers will discuss the situation in Libya, as well as the African security situation, terrorism and issues related to migration.

The European Union's relations with other Eastern Partnership countries will also be discussed at the meeting of the Foreign Ministers and preparations will be made for the summit to be held in May in Riga. “It is important that the association agreements of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia be ratified by all European Union countries in time for the Riga summit,” Pentus-Rosimannus said.

While in Brussels, Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus is also planning to participate in a meeting of the European Union foreign ministers’ Friends of Moldova group. The main topics of the meeting are the economic situation and reforms in Moldova and Moldova’s activities in the area of EU integration.
