Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus will visit Finland and Latvia tomorrow

Tomorrow, on the morning of April 10, Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus will travel to Finland for a visit, and from there will travel on to Latvia. This is the Foreign Minister’s traditional visit to neighbouring countries following the inauguration of the new government.

In Helsinki, Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus will meet with her colleague, Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja. The foreign ministers will discuss Estonian and Finnish bilateral relations, including cooperation in the fields of economy and energy. Other topics of discussion will include regional security and the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East.

From Helsinki, Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus will travel to Riga, Latvia tomorrow afternoon, where she will meet with Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs. Topics of discussion at the meeting will include Estonian-Latvian relations, as well as regional and security cooperation. Other topics on the agenda will be the situation in Ukraine and the Eastern Partnership. The foreign ministers will also discuss Latvia’s experiences to date in holding the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
