Foreign Minister Pentus-Rosimannus will discuss European Union-Russian relations with EU Foreign Ministers tomorrow


Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus will participate in the European Union Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels tomorrow, which will focus on relations between Russia and the European Union. A central issue of discussion will be the Russia-Ukraine conflict, its effects on bilateral relations, and future policy.

The climate change action plan will also be discussed at the meeting, through which climate change diplomacy measures will be determined for 2015.

The situation in Libya regarding Islamists and the conflict with their opposing forces in the country will also be covered again.

The European Union Foreign Ministers will have lunch with Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Elaraby, with whom they plan to discuss common political and security challenges in the region, as well as institutional cooperation between the European Union and Arab League.

Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus will also meet with Polish Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna in Brussels. The main topics of the meeting will be current bilateral issues and outcomes of the Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
